Marco Anzidei (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) is the Project Coordinator of SAVEMEDCOASTS-2.

Senior Researcher at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).

Degree in Geological Sciences, PhD in physics of the complex system.

Coordinated or participated to several national and international research and monitoring projects in geophysical geodesy and education. Coordinator of the European Projects Savemedcoasts (www.savemedcoasts.eu) and Savemedcoasts2 (www.savemedcoasts2.eu) funded by European Directorates-General (DGECHO). Author of about 180 printed papers in peer review scientific journals, book chapters, monographs and conference proceedings. Guest editor of special volumes and author of three scientific documentaries. Teaching experience and visitor scientist in national and foreign Universities and in scientific communication. Research activity mainly focuses on i) geophysical geodesy applied to crustal deformation at regional and local scale in seismic and volcanic areas; ii) integration of topographic data by aerial survey techniques, laser scanning, single and multi-beam bathymetry; iii) sea level changes at different time scales in the Mediterranean using archaeological indicators, geological observations, tide gauge, GPS and seismological data and numerical modeling. Member of the INGV earthquake and tsunami warning center and the operational committee for Civil Protection.

Giovanna Forlenza is the Project Manager of SAVEMEDCOASTS-2 and was also in charge to lead the previous SAVEMEDCOASTS project.

With a Laurea in International and Diplomatic Sciences (2006) and a Master in Local and International Development (2007), she has more than 10 years of experience in the management of European projects funded by various European Directorates-General (DG-ECHO, DG Research & Innovation, DG for Environment, among the others) and of international cooperation (among which funded by the African Development Bank and World Bank) and she is an expert of international politics of civil protection. She is a Member of the Service Management Team of ARISTOTLE-eENHSP (European Natural Hazard Scientific Partnership) project, a Service Contract aimed to deliver to the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) of the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) leading 24/7 multi-hazard scientific advice at European and global level, and implement the "European Natural Hazard Scientific Partnership".

Gemma Musacchio, is member of the work package WP9 that addresses risk communication.

She is a scientist, seismologist at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV, Italy) since 2001, expert in science and risk communication.  She has a Laurea and a Ph.D. in Earth Science (1991 and 1993) and a Master Degree (2016) in Scientific Journalism and Institutional Communication of Science. She was a research scientist at the United State Geological Survey (USA) at the university of Karlsruhe (D) and at the Queen’s University (CN) where she studied the structure, composition, seismic anisotropy and the evolution of the Earth Lithosphere.

Today her research interests focus on disasters’ science, including the social impact of past earthquakes, and on strategies for communicating hazards and risks. 

She has been the leader of WP and coordinator of several national and international projects on risk communication to schools and citizens, including the DG-ECHO funded  KnowRISK project that inspired the communication scheme of SAVEMEDCOAST-2. She has been coordinating several science outreach events and she has prepared temporary exhibitions at international science festivals. She is a jury member of science dissemination national prizes, referees for several international disasters’ science journals and author of more than 100 publications.

Maddalena De Lucia , is member of the work package WP9 that addresses risk communication.

She is a Geologist, working at INGV Osservatorio Vesuviano (OV) as technologist, with Master degrees in “Journalism and scientific institutional communication” and “Cultural mediation in museums”. Since 2018 component of INGVvulcani communication working group, Coordinator of the INGVvulcani blog and administrator of INGVvulcani Facebook account. Years 2019 and 2020 component of INGV team in DPC-INGV agreement – All. A-WP 12.5 “Communication and information in volcanic emergencies through web and social media”. In 2019-2020 she participated in the FISR "SOIR - Integrated Operating Rooms and Monitoring Networks of the future: INGV 2.0" project, WP 5 – Communication of project results and activities to the public, conceiving the info-architecture of the new INGVvulcani blog website, and realizing infographics and videos for the communication of surveillance data to the public. In addition, her activity is also focused on the coordination of science outreach events (2020, 2019, 2018 European Researcher Night for INGV OV) and temporary exhibitions, as well as drafting of magazine/blog articles and outreach material on scientific topics. In the last years she also started seismological research on poorly known historical strong earthquakes in Apulia region, and on the impact of Italian strong earthquakes as regards demographic aspects. 

Elena Eva is member of the work package WP9 that addresses risk communication.

Ph.D. in Geophysics, Researcher, seismologist at Osservatorio Nazionale Terremoti, Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) since 2000.

Research scientist at the United State Geological Survey, in Menlo Park (California, USA), at the Laboratoire de Geodinamique Marine (CNRS Villefranche, France), at the Institut fur Geophysik of ETH (Zurich, Switzerland), at the University of Naples (Italy) and at the University of Messina (Italy) on  studying source mechanisms of earthquake, stress field analysis and seismic reflection.

At the moment research interest in Earth Science and science outreach.

Involved in international and national education projects (NERA, O3E, KnowRISK) and activities and exhibition (Festival della Scienza, Conoscerli per difendersi, Come è profondo il mare, ScienzAperta).

Author of publications in books and national and international journals on research in the field of seismology, seismotectonics, education and risk preparation, dissemination of scientific issues.
